After the live music and fireworks ended about midnight last night in Sioux Center, I finally drifted off to sleep. Only to be woken by rain and storms at 3am.
We did get up and were on the road by 5:30am. It was cool, and the storms were pulling away. We rode east and south today with mostly headwinds. YUCK!
We played storm chasers this morning. We caught up to the rain in Granville where we stopped and had breakfast. We had BLT's. Biked 14 miles to Marcus where we refueled with a frozen Snickers.
Finished final 18 miles around 10:40 am for a total of 54.6 miles. Only 6 more days to go!
